Blackpool is the UK's number one tourist destination and boasts many popular and famous attractions, most of which stretch along Blackpool's 6 mile promenade.

The Pleasure Beach

Located at the South Beach end of the promenade.
The Pleasure Beach has plenty of rides for all ages. Unlimited ride wristbands can be bought at the park but it is better value to purchase via their website.
Recommended rides are Valhalla(you will get wet), The Big One, The Ghost Train and The Grand National
The Pleasure Beach is in the southshore end of Blackpool and 3.5 miles from The Braeside. Note: You can no longer enter the Pleasure Beach for free and have to buy a freedom pass for £5. If you have a wristband then you don't need a freedom pass to enter.

Nickelodeon Land @Pleasure Beach

The Illuminations

Running from September to early November, the Illuminations are 6 miles of stunning lights following the promenade.
The 2011 Illuminations run from 31 Aug 2012 to 4 Nov 2012. Book early for weekends and half term!

The Tower

Blackpool Tower has changed in 2011 with The Blackpool Dungeon and a new Tower Top Experience. The Tower is in the centre of Blackpool and 1.5 miles from The Braeside.

The Dungeons

Located in Blackpool Tower, this is 1000 years of Blackpool’s most blood-curdling history and one of the top things to do in Blackpool - educational, entertaining, and seriously scary fun!

The Zoo

Located about 15 mintues from the promenade and The Braeside, Blackpool Zoo makes an excellent family day out. Crossing the road from the Zoo is Stanley Park (take some nuts for the squirrels!).

Sandcastle Indoor Waterpark

Located opposite the Pleasure Beach, this is Blackpool's indoor tropical temperature award winning water theme park. The waterpark is in the southshore end of Blackpool and 3.5 miles from The Braeside.

Sands Venue

Located on the prom,just past the Tower is the new Sand's Venue. An entertainment complex with a range of tribute bands, dining , champagne bar and informal cafe.

Madame Tussauds Waxworks

Lois Tussauds has gone and Madame Tussauds has arrived. The waxworks is on the prom near Central Pier and 2 miles from The Braeside.

The Three Piers/Shows/Winter Gardens

Blackpool has three piers; North,South and Central, all of which contain various amusements and shows.
